Why would two enthusiastic but unashamedly amateur wine drinkers start an enterprise
such as Wine On Line?
Well, to be honest, we love our wine and have become increasingly frustrated by
the lack of choice and specialist shops within easy reach. So, rather than just
bemoaning our lot over a glass of superb Pinot shipped in from afar, we decided
to do something about it ourselves.
We joined forces with our great friend and highly respected wine consultant
Brian Peacock, Director of Ten Acre Wines who has been in the business for more
years than he cares to admit, and created Wine On Line, a period shop in the heart
of
Presteigne. Our aim? To share quality, experience and value from around the
world with many of the wines hand-selected at the wineries through relationships
with long established independent vintners and growers.
From everyday drinking wines through to fine wines, excellent Champagnes and surprising
equivalents, through to investment stock, we aim to provide our customers with
a frequently changing, varied and exciting range. We believe that information
is king – almost as important as the wine – so for the uninitiated,
we have many years of personal research to help you select and match to your menu
or to your palette. We shall be having regular tastings, and there will always
be a bottle (or two!) open to sample on the premises.
If you are unable to visit the beautiful border town of
Presteigne we are happy to take your order via telephone 01544 267675
or email and we
can deliver to anywhere in the UK.

So why stop at wine?
We are also offering a few of our favourite things from Belgium and Northern France.
Jenever gin, distilled at the Claeyssens distillery in France.
Handmade artisan Belgian chocolates, made by Willaert Chocolaterie. We are big fans
of real Trappist beers. Click here
